This course focuses on five wealth preservation strategies. We cover the nuances and intricacies of planning with life insurance trusts, family limited partnerships, qualified personal residence trusts, grantor retained annuity trusts and sales to intentionally defective irrevocable trusts. We’ll review the elements of each strategy and discuss the advantages and disadvantages of each to help clients meet their estate planning and wealth preservation objectives.
NOTE: The course level is intermediate to advanced. The attendee should have an understanding of basic estate planning concepts before attending this course.
This course has been approved for 4 hours of continuing education credit by the Colorado Division for Insurance Professionals and the CFP® Board of Standards for CFPs. It also qualifies for CE credit from the Colorado State Board of Accountancy for CPAs.
The program is presented from 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. or 1:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. at the Davis Schilken, PC Conference Center at 523 Park Point Drive, Suite 101, Golden, CO 80401.
Continuing Education Credits:
- 4 hours - Colorado Division of Insurance and the CFP® Board of Financial Standards
- 4 hours for CPAs (prior approval not required for Colorado CPAs)
